# Money

A pack payment and a loan are different flows. A pack can be paid in USDG or in Hyperliquid USDC. A loan, a buyback, and a refund move USDG.

## Pack open

The $25 pack is 25 USDG on Robinhood or 25 USDC on Hyperliquid. The Garage Pack is 20 USDG or 20 USDC.

If you take Buyback, you receive the quote locked at open, in USDG on Robinhood. If you win Double on the $25 pack, you receive 2× that quote, in the same USDG. If you lose Double, you receive nothing. The Garage Pack has no Double.

The pack price is not a protocol fee. The buyback is a payment to you, not a yield.

## Loan

On a repaid loan the funder earns 3% of principal and Capsule earns 1% of principal. The principal itself goes back to the funder. It is not a fee.

Those percents are for the 7-day term. They are not an annual percentage yield. A loan that is never funded, or that ends in default, does not pay the 3% or the 1%.

On the fees record, volume is principal that was funded. Fees are the 4% collected when a loan is repaid: 3% to the funder and 1% to Capsule. Dollars come from closed loans.

{% hint style="info" %}
A fees page on DefiLlama was submitted for this split. As of 12 October 2026 it was not on the public fees dashboard. Do not quote a DefiLlama APY for Capsule. There is not one.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://doc.ripcapsule.io/product/money.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
